Who can become a member?

Any person who is enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law or entitled to practice in the Courts of Belize and is in good standing may upon payment of the annual subscription be admitted to membership of the Association.

The Association is committed to building the expertise of its members, protecting the interests of the legal profession, and advocating for the proper administration of justice in Belize. The Association provides members with various opportunities to enhance their professional skills.

Sharpen your practice

The Association organises legal fora throughout the year to keep members abreast of important legal developments.

Build your network

Members gain access to our national and regional network of attorneys. Our online Membership Directory listing also makes your contact information easily accessible and available throughout the world.

Advocacy

Members have opportunities to either create or join committees and task force initiatives to address salient issues affecting the interests of the profession and the public at large.

Increase access to justice

Members can assist and participate in legal clinics organised by the Association to provide legal advice to members of the public unable to afford legal advice and representation.

Continuing legal education

Members have the opportunity to attend and/or participate in the Association’s annual law conference.

How to become a member?
